Bio

Roxanne Jensen has 30 years of experience as a lawyer and consultant for law firms and firm partners. Roxanne practiced law at Morrison & Foerster LLP for 17 years, and served as the Managing Partner for MoFo’s Denver office for 3 of those years. She loved practicing at this amazing firm. After leaving MoFo, she established and grew a Division for Lateral Partners and Firm Mergers for a national recruiting company.  She joined Catapult Growth Partners in 2011, and in 2014 she founded EvolveLaw.  Through EvolveLaw, she works with firms nationwide to set and execute business strategy.

Using her experience as a law firm leader, Roxanne brings to her consulting practice a unique blend of expertise honed by deep exposure to law firm business models and critical understanding of innovation in the changing legal services marketplace.  Her practice focuses on a wide range of business consulting for law firms.  She works with firms to differentiate well, and grow as a result.  With her help, firms have set and executed strategies resulting in regional mergers, industry integration along industry lines, revised profitability analysis, revamped compensation and governance systems, and new succession plans, among other things.

Roxanne’s background and experience allow her to aid critical thinking and creative change in law firms – the thinking and change that is imperative in a constantly changing legal services market.  In every engagement, she delves deeply into the culture and history of the institution, and blends best practices and innovation to help maintain and evolve firm culture while meeting business goals.  She deploys change management tools and design thinking in her work, resulting in new models and ideas that drive lawyer engagement and client loyalty.

Roxanne received her J.D. from the University of Colorado School of Law in 1985, and her B.A. in Philosophy and Chemistry from St. Olaf College in 1981.  She held a Colorado Federal Court Clerkship for then-Chief Judge Sherman Finesilver from 1985 until 1987.

Roxanne is currently a member of the Board of Directors for Challenge Denver, and has co-chaired the Dean’s Advisory Council for Colorado Law, her alma mater; served on the Board of Trustees for both Stanley British Primary School and the East Angels Friends and Family Foundation; and sat on the Parent Committee for YoungLife in Central Denver.
